HCM340 Lecture : Alexis Galeotti HCM340 Module 2 Discussion
Document Summary
I know of a few people who for a while were unable to get health insurance which was very upsetting for me to know of. A lot of these people did live in low-income neighborhoods. This definitely has something to do with why the percentage is on the higher end. A lot of people simply cannot afford health insurance or get. Extremely unfortunately race sometimes does play a part in this as well, and these people sadly do sometimes live in low-income neighborhoods as well. This makes it just extremely difficult if not impossible to get health insurance. Medicaid being extended to families and people with these circumstances, they are able to get health insurance. I hope over the next few years, people being uninsured is less of a problem and more people are able to get health insurance.
