Document Summary

A few short seconds later it feels like the depth of hell is literally in your eyeball and you are almost certain that you are going to go blind. Lucky for you, your product has probably already been tested at the expense of an animal"s sight. Animals have always been the go-to for testing the safety of cosmetics. They are injected with implant material, slathered in soaps, covered with makeup and sprayed with perfume. After the beautification process is complete, they are sent back into their tiny cage where their reactions are monitored. Often times these animals end up with major skin irritation, blindness, organ damage, and even death. Technological advances have allowed for other methods of beauty product testing to be used and, therefore, using animals for cosmetic testing is unethical. In this day and age, there are many ways to test beauty products that don"t involve the use of innocent animals.
