Document Summary

In the article caring for your introvert: the habits and needs of a little-understood group, author jonathan rauch discusses the many misconceptions society has about introverts. Very early on in the article, we learn rauch himself is an introvert. The author uses an expository narrative, giving the readers an inside look into introversion from an introverts perspective. Rauch goes on to define what introversion is, the percentage of the population that are introverts, and how to better respect and support an introvert if you encounter one. Rauch"s tone is a witty and light-hearted one, as a reader will easily pick up on when reading through the article. Although his tone is not serious, rauch does make some good points, while also bringing awareness to an easily misunderstood personality type. A valuable way to read caring for your introvert: the habits and needs of a little- understood group would be what is called problem and solution.
