If we want to learn something about case b, we use case. Plato"s analogy will examine whether justice in society is an analogy for justice within us. Plato"s utopian society: everyone is contributing in the best possible way. The state comes to be because we are not self-sufficient, we each have different skills and because we"re not all the same we need each other to achieve a good life. If people can use their talents, we have an efficient state. The division of labour in our natural aptitudes is the best possible society. People would create items, so we need regulations for trade, and this is why we need a state.
