Document Summary

Unit 6: can god"s existence be proven by reason: video: "does god exist?" A theist is someone who believes that at least one god exists - she may believe that there are many gods, but she must believe in at least one god if she is to qualify as a theist. Atheist believes that there are no gods. (an agnostic is a person who believes that we cannot know whether the theist or the atheist is right. ) Given this simple distinction, consider how many different kinds of theists there can be: there are those who believe in one god (monotheists), those who believe in two gods, those who believe in three gods, and so on. There are even some who have believed in an infinite number of gods. So it seems there are at least an infinite number of different forms that theism might take. But that is only where the problems start.
