Convictions that people feel certain are true. Beliefs help us process information quickly, categorize it, and evaluate it. The formation of our belief system is influenced by culture, family, first-hand experiences, and education. Ideas that we accept to be true without proof even if it is right or wrong. These are the principles or standards that a culture considers important such as freedom, loyalty, fairness, equality, and independence. Values are our traits, routines, rituals, and behaviors. The course project is to write a paper about one of the topics listed below. Four main topics have multiple subtopics to choose from. The research consists of primary sources and secondary sources.
