The calculations are as follows: for engineers: Thus, repair time= 560/140= 4 hours: for workers: Hence, the learning rate for the workers is 87. 5%. As is evident from the calculated repair time for both the company"s engineers and the dealer"s workers, the skill level of the engineers and the workers is obviously not the same. The engineers are clearly overqualified for the job as they have more expertise in the system as compared to average repair workers in dealerships. Moreover, all the workers cannot have the same skill level too.
