Document Summary

The vas deferns goes through the anterior abdominal wall, travels in the pleivs and head towards the posterior aspect of the bladder, crossing the ureters to drain into the ejaculatory ducts into the prostate gland. The eminal vesicles also drain into the ejaculatory ducts into the prostate gland. The ejaculatory ducts open onto the urethral crest, beneath the prostatic utricle into the prostatic part of the urethra. The prostatic ducts open into urethreal sinuses via multiple small openings. The bulbourethral glands open into the penile urethra, they are located in the perineum beneath the urogenital diaphragm, secrete mucous secretions. Cardinal ligament, uterine artery runs in this ligament. The ovary sits on the side wall of the pelvis, on the posterior aspect of the broad ligament, in between the bifurcation of the common iliac vessel, overlying the obturator nerve which is related to the parietal peritoneum. The round ligament and the proper ovarian ligament are female remnants of the gubernaculum.
