Internal traffic exchange between datacenters can saturate links: without a good network topology, vlan can make things worse by blocking access. Datacenter networking: central switch: all equipment"s connect to a single switch, tor or top of rack switch, switch fabric. Central switch: each host connects to a patch panel then that panel connects to central switch, there should be two connection, the other one for backup, management connection and data back connection, could be a good for small scenarios.
