What is an inner ring": hierarchies, groups of people, cliques. Exclusion is no accident; it is the essence : they have no name, but easy to refer to. However, the excessive desire for being part of an inner ring is bad. It is somewhat related to being given into peer-pressure. One moment you are in, one moment you are not. The desire for inner rings should not be confused with the desire for power. A person engages in role differentiated behavior if and only if they asked to set aside cooperation and that it would normally be morally important because of their role. A defense of role differentiated behavior (with lawyers): a defense lawyer is a small part of the overall justice system. It is important that the legal system as a whole is just.
