For some it was a day of celebration and jubilation, for others it was a day of mourning and astonishment. Having a parent in the united states military meant that i would have the ability to travel the world, which i did at a very young age. At that time, i was halfway done through middle school and was about to return stateside, when my father decided to plan a trip to hiroshima. Initially, i had an uneasy feeling about going to that location. When i finally got there, i felt as if i was trespassing on some sacred burial ground.
