Obsessive compulsive disorder: obsessions, repetitive, distressing, or frightening thoughts, compulsions, repetitive behaviors (an attempt to calm the thoughts) Examples of obsessions: concern for order and constancy, cleanliness (body or living space, forbidden sexual thoughts.
