The appeal of children"s literature to children. Books can sometimes be more entertaining to parents. Think children literature is happy because the pictures depict smiling characters. The pictures gradually take up more space and the words disappear. No need for language because max becomes one with the wild things. Connection between nostalgia and smile in george. Point where george was performing human tasks. George got himself caught as if he wanted to be integrated into human society. George leads the people off the boat. The man in the yellow hat has a gun. Could be like a parent-child relationship in that the gun could be used to protect george. He shapes himself in the image that the man desires. George acts like a child because the story is read to children. Children can better relate to the story. Most children"s stories have a moral, but this story did not seem to have an obvious lesson.
