Pompey takes one of caesar"s legions to go fight the parthians. Caesar has one legion left and it turns into a stalemate. Bill proposed to senate that caesar and pompey should give up their government positions and return to rome. Curio"s bill passes as everyone wants resolution. Except the optimates guys listed above who just have it out for caesar. December 2nd, guys from senate go to pompey to turn him against caesar and he accepts: january 1st of 49 bce. M. antony proposes compromise to the senate. Caesar is declared enemy of the state.
