Best markets as a toy in a talking doll! Competition from chichester bell and charles summer tainter! Alexander bell was the cousin of chichester that had the laboratory ! Success from both sides for better quality records, able to be sold cheaply/affordable! These machines were still not in mass production yet, quality improved but one huge. Aw: every time you played back that same message the sound deteriorated very use and would eventually be gone!
