You will see some groups that have restricted who they let in (japan doesn"t let many immigrants in) Phenotypic differences exist (physical: skin color, eye slant, hair texture, height, etc; cultural: what people wear (jeans, veil, hats), the music people listen to, etc) Membership in an ethnic group have 3 components: 1. The degree to which you identify to the cultural heritage as well as other people who share it; 3. Racism: a system of advantage that is based on race: de nition-a system of advantage based on race, majority group: a group that enjoys positive disproportionate access to resources and power.
