What the word beautiful amounts to is a valuable experience. This is why everyone can experience and share the possibility to judge art. Almost all of nature is beautiful and it"s generally accepted to be so. There"s still emotion in the experience but it"s not the driving force. There"s something about actually understanding the art that adds to the beauty of it. That"s what many people tend to be subjective about. It"s better to focus on things other than the subject matter according to. Form is the most distinguishing feature of art. Form is a different kind of basis besides emotion. He wants to show that we all agree. He"s talking about a judgement that something is beautiful.
