Will always need to go back and reassess. Comprehensive: this is usually taken the first time you a see a pt, takes a lot of time, you do not know the pt, so you need to gather everything. Ongoing or partial assessment: this is when the pt comes in for something, ex. Seeing a pt post surgery for a hip replacement focus is on the hip. Emergency assessment: airway, breathing, and circulation. Includes a detailed and chronologic record of the health problem.
