Robert blauner colonized immigrant migrants: he says white ethnics moved to the u. s. voluntarily and came to escape hardships. He said when immigrants came in they not only entered voluntarily but they were also received welcomingly (not really the case but whatever) African americans = brought as slaves: mexican americans = incorporated after a war that made their land part of u. s, native americans = colonized. Asian population = blauner is writing at a time when immigration policies have changed, immigration is different than in was in the early 1800s. Immigration laws aren"t changed until 1960s, prior it had been very restrictive. Basically, race played a huge role in how immigrants were treated. He argues that european immigrants entered a free market, with no labor rules. It was not the same situation experienced by racial minorities they entered an unfree labor market, restricted from most forms of employment except agriculture.
