They commit suicide rather than suffer embarrassment of being defeated. Finally have ruling by one person in rome. 30 bce doors of temple of janus closed (peace) Ruling the roman empire (principate, 27 bce-284 bce) 23 bce senate gives augustus power of the tribute of the plebs and imperium maius.
