Reality: socially constructed. Reality is produced by society. Social constructivism.
Social constrctivism:
Depending upon language and culture of which you live, you might see one type of snow in one
picture, or 40 different.

i. For still images
b. Denotation: sign=significier+signified. Letter of recognition
i. Signifier=word, image, etc (cat)
ii. Signified=mental concept (our mental image of what a cat looks like)
