Twitch
- Small activation period where muscle fibers are engaged inside a motor neuron
-an action potential activates the twitch
- if there is a second twitch activated before a fiber is relaxed the power created becomes
stronger
- shortening the time between both twitches equals more force created
Tetanus
- This occurs when a muscle fiber is constantly being stimulated
- No relaxation happens during this period
- This is the max force that can be generated by a fiber

Document Summary

Small activation period where muscle fibers are engaged inside a motor neuron. If there is a second twitch activated before a fiber is relaxed the power created becomes stronger. Shortening the time between both twitches equals more force created. This occurs when a muscle fiber is constantly being stimulated. This is the max force that can be generated by a fiber. An activation principle that uses exterior electricity to supply a large amount of energy to. Motor unit involves a motor neuron and every muscle it controls. Motor neuron- a nerve that goes from spinal cord to the muscle it is targeting. When it is fired, all the muscle fibers it controls are activated. Precision muscles- have 1 to 1 ratio of muscle fibers and motor neurons. Fibers from large muscle groups have many fibers that are controlled by one neuron. Motor unites are activated when acetylcholine is released by motor endplates.
