Episodic memory linked to specific place/ time: memories of past specific episodes of life, what did you eat for dinner last night, what did you learn on wednesday, part of explicit memory. Semantic memory: general knowledge, not related to specific instance but a composite of several experiences, acquired over time, what do people eat for dinner, what does psychology mean, part of explicit memory.
