Just because something is durable doesn"t mean it will have an impact on them. When presented first with positive traits, you"re more likely to hold onto those. Social cognition is your attitude about other people positive impressions. Social norm: you come to learn from other people what is acceptable or not. Social roles: what it means to be a friend, what it means to be a student, what a parent is to do, etc. Every role has a norm to go with it. Role conflict: different social roles that conflict with each other. A good student will study for the exam they have tomorrow. You"re a good student but a good friend too. S7 conformity: when at first you don"t like something but because everyone likes it, you start to like it. This is where people are more likely to follow people that they think has knowledge about something.
