The current situation in israel and palestine: history, it"s meaning and study. Water is very limited in the middle east in general, but in particular in. The jordan river and its springs flow into the lake of galilee which is the only big lake in israel/palestine--only drinking water resource in the region. Everyone relies heavily on the jordan and the lake of galilee. Whoever controls these controls the water of the region. Neither of these sources are in current palestinian territories. Israel"s main industries are chemical industries around the dead sea--top.
