ICT 202 Lecture Notes - Lecture 41: Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel, Web Application
Document Summary
When editing documents in a group in the old days, people passed around a printed document and used different colored pens to keep track of who has suggested which edits. Many word processors today have systems called track changes that will help keep a record of suggested edits and changes that are made to a document. Tracking changes is often important in business settings where you may be working collaboratively. Presentation software allows users to create visual aids for presentations to communicate ideas, messages, and other information to a group. Web-app versions include google slides and prezi. Spreadsheet software allows users to organize data in columns and rows and perform calculations on the data. Spreadsheets are designed to store information but in reality they do a lot more than that. Companies use spreadsheets to model and manipulate data sets, to create graphical visualizations and ultimately to inform future decision making and planning.
