Integrated pest manegement of (ipm) is stustainable approach to manage pests through biological, cultural, physical, and chemical tools in a way that minimizes risks to the community. Similar to organic but permits the use of synthetic pesticides: set action thresholds, determine economic injury level: pest population that damage equals in cost to the treatment. Be sure to know and recognize the pest: identify and monitor pests, ipm relies on accurate and effective method of assessing pests populations.
