Religious expression predate modern humanity, indicating its historical importance for organizing human knowledge and experiences. Thus, anthropologists approach religion from a perspective of practice. These myths also often cover how life originated and the role of humans in the universe: a set of ritual activities that reinforce or instill these collective beliefs. This can include acts like private prayer, worship services, ceremonies, etc: a symbol system used in religious practice that represents key aspects of the religion or tenets of faith. For example, the cruci x or cross in christianity, the star of david in. Judaism, the star and crescent in islam, etc: identi able specialists in the religion who assist or instruct the average believer. Such as priests, rabbis, etc: institutions that preserve, explore, teach and implement the religion"s beliefs. These can be everything from a simple countryside chapel to archives and libraries that seek to preserve a religion"s history: a community of believers.
