Hogs are the 4th most important money generator in food animal agriculture. Us produces 10% of the world"s pig meat with 7% of world hogs. Growing /finishing facilities - feeds them until they reach market weight (2 months of age- 5. 5 months of age) If they don"t have the land to appropriately spread said manure they need to find another way to deal with the extreme amounts of shit. Farrow to finish producer - most industries are this one. Retain ownership of the pigs until they reach 5. 5 months of age, 240 lb pig. Similar to farrow to finish, sells breeding or sow stock.
