Seasonal variation: earth is on an axis and tilts as it orbits the sun --> seasons: air circulation. Dry, cool air pushed toward poles --> deserts. Cools when it raises and drops the moisture as rain. At 30 degrees, the air will drop because it is cold: ocean currents. Currents push warm/cold water around the earth"s oceans. Gulf stream current: warm water from the gulf is pushed up the coast of north. California current: cold-water current that comes down from alaska. Precipitation and rain fall affect biomes: shrubs/chaparral. Cool and wet winters, warm and dry summers. Many fire resistant plants: fire: natural energy cycling.
