Self schema: our cognitive representations about the self, derived from past experiences, beliefs and feelings about self in various domains, we have lots of self schemas like we might know whether or not we are super conscientious. Self concept: the sum total of all self schemas, working self concept. Subset of self knowledge/schemas brought to mind in any given context: that specific concept is more relevant, ex: may have a self schema about yourself as extroverted and at a party, that schema is brought to the forefront. I am a mother: being a parent is an important role for me. I have 2 sons and 1 daughter: they are 11, 8, and 5. I read to my youngest last night and volunteered for a pta event last week: yesterday i told my oldest he was too young for a cell phone after long discussions with other parents.
