In 90% of people"s brains, the left hemisphere is bigger. Language is in this part of the brain in most people. Handedness is not absolute, but a matter of degree. Stats: mostly right-handed, 80-90%; left handed, 10%; ambidextrous, 10-20%. 90% of right-handers have speech areas in left hemisphere, compared to 70% of left-handers. Left-handers are likelier to have very high or very low iq"s. Left-handers are likelier to suffer from adhd, dyslexias and other learning disabilities, and disorders with an autoimmune component. Felt desires such as food and drug cravings. Feeling sad when you see someone else cry. Hallucinogenic drugs take away the boundary that separates us and the world. The nerves can shoot pain somewhere that it is not affected. The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body and vice versa. Right visual field = left visual cortex. Left visual field = right visual cortex.
