By wwii 7 empires collapsed: ottoman, habsburg, russian, german, dutch, british, After wwii 3 empires collapsed: japanese, us, soviet u. Nothing escapes them: wars, ideologies, religions, philosophers, business, etc. No single narrative history story reflects them all. Changes reinforce globalizing trends even as they reflect them. Historical trends/ linkages ancient migrations: trade, empire, converts, slaves religion, people and practices started to spread out spread of languages, foods, technologies: this lead to interpretation, to revision to alterations in human culture/ life. Why cant we see such a world i (wolf) because of how we"ve been taught history. Western has been privileged (europe and america)- placed in foreground.
