Attributes present at birth (& even prenatally) (babies who are 4 months) measured: emotional response in terms of positive or negative moods, duration of response, how long it takes for baby to respond) (babies who are 9 months) measured: emotions of anger joy and fear. (babies who are 24 months) measured: how long it takes for the child (if any) to warm up to the stranger. Generally calm, happy, regular sleeping/eating habits, adaptable, not easily upset. Often fussy, irregular feeding/sleeping habits, fearful of new people and situations , easily upset by noise and commotion, high strung, intense reactions. Relatively inactive and fussy, tend to withdraw or to react negatively to new situations, but their reactions gradually become more positive with continuous exposure (they are fearful of new situation but eventually overcome that with support)
