Lifetime partnerships - filtering the pool of eligibles. A marriage like relationship when your intention is to live your life with person. Developmental history and family of origin have to. Rewards- those things that we find ratifying/ those things that we find attractive/ attributes and rewarding qualities- drives a bmw,blue eyes etc. (positives) Costs- what we have to endure, (negatives)- may be attractive but not as smart. Family of origin experiences-developmental history: attachment history. The more anxious we are the more we are attractive we are to people that lessen those anxiety. Positive and negative in families show us what we want in a person. Dedication to the partner and relationship- exclusive. Very anxious test more, more costly to be in a relationship with the person if know it becomes a big cost. More anxious less likely you are to commit yourself. Swings are times testing partner to see if involved as we are.
