Grandees- the super nobles: increased taxes quite a bit. Couldn"t entail everything, but you could entail the majority of your property. Would go through bilbao and onto the netherlands. This increases the revenues of nobles and the crown. Consulados of burgos- this is a consulate that was created in 1494 and controlled by merchants. It guaranteed the control of the castilian wool and textiles. Export law of 1462- no more than 2/3 of the wool can be shipped out: ferdinand and isabella enforced this law, the wool was sought after in the netherlands and italy because it was the best wool. Because of all the sheep grazing, they started to have to import grain: it would be better off if you grew it locally, ferdinand and isabella put a price control on the grain- known as the tasa: 1502. Casa de veeduria- house of oversight, meant to oversee the guilds and to maintain high expectation in textile factories.
