Gender is omnirelevant- it is always important in society. Social determination is based on a person"s outward appearance (clothes, haircut, etc. ) Swedish parents choose to keep gender of their 2-year old child (pop) a secret because they want. Pop to grow up freely and avoid being forced into a specific gender mold. A phenomenon that is created and sustained through social interaction (ex. Money, social status, race, gender, sex, sexual orientation) Gender assignment is reversible and deals with social role. Surgical fix is irreversible and deals with the physical body. One can have gender reassignment and surgery, gender reassignment without surgery, no gender reassignment and no surgery, or no gender reassignment and still have a surgery.
