Primary sources: consituions, statutes, court rules, and administraive law. In addiion to the u. s. consituion, each state has its own consituion. The u. s. consituion sets forth the fundamental principles of governance for the country; state consituions set forth the fundamental principles of governance for the states. The language of the u. s. consituion is very broad, seing up a framework of government, oten without much detail. Consituion prevail over any federal statute or state consituional provision or statute in conlict with the consituion. Preamble- a paragraph or clause explaining the reason for the enactment of the consituion and the object or objects it seeks to accomplish. Body of the document- divided into divisions various parts (called aricles in the u. s. Consituion and many state consituions) corresponding to the various subjects dealt with in the consituion. The parts are divided into subparts) called secions and. Near the end of the consituion is a provision describing the procedure for amending it.
