Secondary education for males only; reading and religion. Reading, religion, morality, writing, and arithmetic; vocational skills; academy open to females. Discipline-oriented high school developed; secondary education for all students. Congress funded programs in science, math, languages, and guidance. Academic subjects emphasized; increased discipline; elimination of electives; competency exams. Expansion of the core curriculum to include more people of color and women. Rules, procedures, atmosphere, power relationships, democratic - authoritarian values which are implicitly taught. Student activities fulfill educational outcomes not academic in nature. State laws both requiring and banning lgbt - curriculum. The lgbt rights as part of the civil rights and women"s movements. Lgbt authors and/or discussion of the significance of queer identities in literature. Inclusion of lgbt parents when discussing families and family structures. Higher test scored do not mean more learning. Are there any diversity issues or events that you would consider. A book about jobs that only has pictures of women as secretaries and nurses.
