Are these people going to be subjects or citizens. Both imperialist and anti-imperialist- us is superior vs against non-americans who become detruncated. Roosevelt changes our foreign policy- more interventionist, and aggressiveness, to actually play a role in the role. Roosevelt in the big stick policy: imperialism and aggressiveness. Different levels: 1) civilized and 2) the uncivilized. Civilized- advance the economy, primary a white country (wasps)- politically and socially white dominated- have art and philosophy. Roosevelt corollary- us is the protector of the western hemisphere, but will not intervene with.
