Ionians are crushed, ringleaders are executed, and they remain to be subjects of persia. Knew he was ruling an empire that was only held together by fear and he was in control of subjects who didn"t like him. Revolts lead to the crushing of an empire, and decided to crush the ionians crush the ionians.
