Document Summary

What is it supposed to model or what is the big question it raises: the stag hunt is a game in which two people can either hunt stag or hare. Hunting stag has a huge payoff, but the two must cooperate in order for: it is supposed to model cooperation; how cooperation can evolve and how the social contract can be implemented. If you both defect, you only get one year in prison for example. Altruism is what gets us to the 2, 2 state; if one person defects and the other does not, one person gets more time. This is in comparison to rationality and self-interest. What is the shadow of the future: the assumptions are that it can become a stag hunt by playing the game multiple times rather than more than once, there are two choices: I dunno but cooperating is the best solution in this case while in the pd, the best situation is to defect.
