People judge you by the way you look. Perception is how you perceive the world based on your experiences. There are some cultural influences and gender influences and societal influences. There are things you do routinely everyday that you won"t really remember if you had to think about it later on in the day. Example) the license plate of the car in front of you when you drove to school. Example) how you brushed your teeth this morning. Sometimes it is hard not to jump to conclusions, but sometimes things are not as they appear. Our life as a student is much more exciting than a gang member"s life. A very small percentage of gang members account for a disproportionate amount of the crime. Many academic researchers jump to conclusions to say that all gangs come from la county; they do not.
