Document Summary
Not the same as stages of change but has similar underlying concepts. Sensing of unsatisfied demands on the system some part of the system received information indicating a problem. Search for possible responses elements in the system try to find alternative solutions. Evaluation of alternatives the various alternatives are compared. Decision to adopt a course of action an alternative is chosen from the list of possibilities and a strategy is adopted. Initiation of action within the system a policy or other directive for implementation of the change is formulated and resources are acquired. Implementation of the change resources are allocated, innovation is carried out, and then the innovation becomes a routine part of the organization. Not clear how you move from stage to stage. Different people play key roles at different stages. Additional factors that effect this process are not addressed. An application of behavioral sciences to improve organizational effectiveness.
