In elementary, encourage children to internalize and self-regulate their talk to themselves. Provide students with opportunities to experience learning in real- world settings. Ex: rather than just memorizing math formulas, students work on math problems with real-world implications. Tools of the mind is an early childhood education curriculum that emphasizes children"s development of self-regulation and cognitive.
