One of the social media platforms that are popular, especially in the united states, is. I started using tumblr in high school, when my friends and i would entertain ourselves by looking at high school memes and celebrity pictures. In college, i have found my interests in proclaiming certain social justice and feminist points to my followers and friends. I have now used tumblr for entertainment as well as promotion of my own personal beliefs and ideas. The feature this platform uses to ensure communication is the power of images and the impact of imagery in the minds of young readers. For instance, many of my followers are from other countries. The images that i come across about gay rights, feminism, and related topics are all able to speak to other people through the universal language of pictures and emotions. I don t usually directly talk with my followers, although the website does offer that medium as well.
