Describe physical details of sadness (shakiness of voice, facial expressions, body language: don"t use words that convey moral or ethical judgement. Don"t tell the reader to what to think. Nothing is good/evil: don"t use words that simply name physical conditions (unless also described) Refusal to answer question may be part of the story. Describe meaningful silence/avoidance of particular painful part of the story.
