Women are involved in almost every activity. Women do more of the gathering and men do more of the farming. Women are doing most of the activities, women actually produced 70% of the calories. John smith and his crew was starving approach powhatan and continued to get corn, until there was a conflict. Smith thought they were conquering the natives, while powhatan thought europeans were pathetic because they didn"t have women to farm for them. Make shelter for slaves to be successful. Race based slavery was becoming so important; natives were enslaved at high levels as well. The first law: however, european men are deemed taxable, and blacks and native women and men were both deemed taxable.
