Document Summary

Lecture 6: social learning/social cognitive views of learning. They were expecting likes or have people think it is cool that they went to the superbowl. Can"t look at a behavior in isolation, you need to look at the environment and the personal characteristic. Example: a child might get out of his sit and wanders around the classroom. He has friends in the class or the teacher might be walking around too. He"s a friendly person or outgoing child. If the teacher gives him a sticker every 5 minutes for sitting at his desk, he will change his behavior. Learning occurs as a result of social interaction. You tend to make lesson plans that are similar to what your favorite teacher lesson plans were like. Learning is an internal process that may or may not lead to behavior change. Learning net force, you can apply it to real life or just learn how it works through physics word problems.
