Rice was then suspended for the season & then cut from the ravens. Can find list online of nfl players involved in assaults & domestic violence. Subsequently got married & go on tours talking about domestic violence. Interviews afterwards: janay talks about how she was stunned afterward & rice couldn"t believe what he did. Controversy for nfl -> nothing done immediately but was subsequently suspended for. Since then most nfl teams immediately release someone if they are arrested for domestic violence. These issues are not unique to the nfl. Issue for law enforcement in determining who the primary aggressor is.
